DAY 1 - Local Anesthesia, Pain Management and the A-PRF Technique

In this lecture, you will learn about local anesthesia, pain management in oral surgery and the platelet-rich fibrin A-PRF and I-PRF techniques. Learn how to manage local anesthesia failures and the role of anesthesia in tissue protection. Dr. Choukroun will discuss pain management in oral surgery, both intra-operatively and post-operatively. This lecture will also cover the failure factors that interfere with the action of A-PRF, what factors affect bone growth and those that antagonize it.

Attendees will learn how to prepare an A-PRF membrane and how to mix A-PRF for bone grafting, the punch and plug preparation.

DAY 2 - Training on Blood Sampling and Intravenous Injections

In this hands-on workshop, you will receive training on blood sampling and intravenous injections. Learn about the anatomy of the veins of the upper and lower limbs and the technique for identifying veins of the extremities. You will learn how to do intravenous injections and understand what products are injected and how to manage contact accidents with blood products. Practical work on dummies (infusion elbows and arms), as well as video clips of live surgery, are part of this workshop.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the anatomy of the veins available for phlebotomy
  • Learn the technique of venipuncture: skills and tips
  • Learn about the prevention of accidents of blood contact
