After obtaining his doctorate in dentistry at the Montreal university, Dr. El-Fata completed a year of residency at the CHUM's Hôpital Notre Dame. He then began his specialty in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Laval university and the Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus. He also completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) program in the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University. He has been awarded Fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Canada in his specialty. He then completed specialized training in implantology at the Branemark Osseointegration Center in Sweden. Dr. El-Fata practices in private practice in Quebec City and regularly gives training courses in implantology.
